Health

It is quite hard to know what is meant to be in a perfect diet. We know that we should obtain a balance and make sure we get a steady input of vitamins, nutrients and minerals. But sometimes this is hard when you do not like a certain food that contains an essential dietary substance.

Take for example fish. Not all of us like fish and then struggle to find Omega 3 (fatty acid) in any other foods. Nuts also provide Omega 3 but not in the same quantity as fish. So this is when we call to Holland and Barrett for help. They have a plethora of Omega 3 products. As they say:

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential as they are not produced by the body…
Consumption of omega-3 through diet or supplements helps maintain a healthy heart and joints.

Having a healthy heart and joints is top of my list of priorities so I feel that Omega 3 is essential to my diet. The capsules are ideal for those who dislike the taste of fish and are easily swallowed with a drink in conjunction with a meal. If you perhaps are not comfortable with taking capsules then you can get flaxseed liquid that is also high in omega 3.

Omega 3 in the form of cod-liver oil has been used for generations and generations. An everyday supplement taken with your breakfast made many people feel they were giving their body a fighting chance. In fact my grandmother took cod-liver oil every day until her dying day, and leaving us at the ripe old age of 90 I do believe it was helping far more than we could have imagined. Many believe it helps with blood circulation and blood pressure as well as those annoying varicose veins that pop up as we mature. So there is definitely no reason why you should not try and boost your Omega 3 intake.
